I currently call New York City my home, but I’ve lived many places in my short life. I commute daily between Brooklyn and Manhattan, and I travel regularly between cities. If you’d like to meetup IRL, this page includes a complete list of location-based social media which I use everyday.
I use Foursquare to share my whereabouts, both to share some of my favorite places around town and for serendipitous rendezvous with friends. See my complete list of LBS networks below.
Where I’ve Been
Many people know me as a local blogger in my hometown of St. Louis, Missouri, and I connected more with friends and classmates in Washington DC. When I was younger I traveled the world as a People to People student ambassador, bringing peace through understanding to the places I visited and during homestays with families abroad.
Upcoming trips
I use TripIt and Dopplr to share travel plans for my upcoming trips with co-workers and friends. You can also check my public Calendar for updates on my travel plans.
Check-in visualization
Matt Hurst’s Checkins by WeePlaces.com.
This check-in visualization depicts my check-ins using Foursquare and Gowalla since March 2009. During this time I’ve lived in DC and moved to NYC, with occasional visits to friends and family across the country.
