This site has been blocked in protest of the U.S. Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and PROTECT-IP Act (PIPA). The U.S. Congress has been trying to censor the Internet, even though the vast majority of Americans are opposed. We need to block these bills to protect our rights to free speech, privacy, and prosperity.
Update: SOPA/PIPA has been resurrected under a new name: CISPA. The name may have changed, but the overreaching powers remain the same.
What can we do to prevent this from breaking the web? Learn more about what you can do to help stop this legislation and keep the internet free of censorship.
And after you’re done, please read more on this site to learn more about the Copyright law, or jump over to my Tumblr blog for ongoing commentary about SOPA, PIPA, and any related legislative efforts which impede public communication on the web.
